Imdaad Foundation in Shopian
Shopian's high orchards grow the apples Kashmir is famous for — but one bad season or early snow can undo a family's whole year. Your support cushions the fall.
South Kashmir
Why Shopian needs support
Shopian, in south Kashmir at the foot of the Pir Panjal, is known as the apple capital of the valley. Its economy rises and falls with the orchard: a good harvest sustains the district, while hail, disease, or untimely snow can wipe out a family's income overnight.
Sitting at higher elevation, Shopian also receives heavy snowfall that isolates villages and hits daily-wage households hard. Our work here focuses on livelihood support when orchards fail, winter relief, and medical aid.
