Donate Sadaqah in Kashmir
Voluntary charity, given from the heart, at any time and in any amount. Your Sadaqah brings immediate relief to families in Kashmir who have nowhere else to turn.
About this giving
What is Sadaqah?
Sadaqah is voluntary charity in Islam — unlike Zakat it has no minimum, no fixed rate, and no set time. It can be a rupee or a fortune, given quietly or openly, whenever a need arises. The Prophet ﷺ described even a smile as a form of Sadaqah.
Sadaqah also includes Sadaqah Jariyah — ongoing charity that keeps giving after the initial gift, such as supporting a child's education or a family's livelihood. At Imdaad Foundation, your Sadaqah is directed to wherever the need is most urgent across Kashmir.
Who your gift helps
Sadaqah funds our most flexible relief — a medicine a family cannot afford, a child's school fee, food for a household that has run out, or emergency help when a crisis strikes without warning.

Questions & Answers
Sadaqah — your questions answered
- What is the difference between Sadaqah and Zakat?
- Zakat is an obligatory annual charity of 2.5% on qualifying wealth, payable only to eight defined categories of recipients. Sadaqah is voluntary, has no minimum or fixed rate, can be given at any time, and may be used for a much wider range of good causes.
- Can I give Sadaqah on behalf of someone who has passed away?
- Yes. Giving Sadaqah on behalf of a deceased loved one is a widely encouraged act, and its reward is conveyed to them. Many donors give ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah in a relative's name.
- Is my Sadaqah donation used only in Kashmir?
- Imdaad Foundation works across Srinagar and the districts of Kashmir. Every case is verified on the ground by our team in Kashmir before any distribution.
