Donations & giving

How much of my donation reaches people in need?
100%. Kashmir Imdaad Foundation operates a zero-overhead policy on charitable giving — every rupee you donate reaches beneficiaries. Our operating costs are met separately, so nothing is deducted from your gift.
How can I donate?
You can donate online in minutes through our secure donation page using UPI, net banking, or a debit/credit card. You can give a one-time gift or set up recurring monthly support.
Will I get a receipt and tax exemption?
Yes. Kashmir Imdaad Foundation is registered under Section 80G (Reg. No. AALCK1496LF20241), so your donation qualifies for a tax deduction, and you will receive a receipt for your records.
Can I get a refund if I donated by mistake?
Yes. If you made a donation in error, please contact us and we will help you with a refund in line with our cancellations and refunds policy.

Zakat

Zakat

Can I pay my Zakat through Imdaad Foundation?
Yes. Select Zakat as the purpose when you donate. We operate a 100% Zakat policy and distribute your Zakat only to the eight categories of eligible recipients, verified on the ground in Kashmir.
How do I calculate my Zakat?
Use our Zakat Calculator, which applies the current Nisab to your cash, gold, silver, savings, and business assets and calculates 2.5% on your net Zakatable wealth held for one lunar year.
What is the difference between Zakat, Sadaqah, and Fitra?
Zakat is an obligatory annual 2.5% charity on qualifying wealth. Sadaqah is voluntary charity with no minimum, given any time. Fitra (Sadaqah al-Fitr) is a small fixed charity paid per person before the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer.
